Habits Of Mind

In Arthur L.casta and Bena Kallick ‘s “Describing 16 habits of mind”. They Are interested on how the students produce knowledge. When confronted with a problem every student will take action upon the situation. The actions you take when you are not familiar with something can become a problem. The mind is something that I control. Is the way I control a situation. How I act upon it. One of the habits that I’m familiar with is applying past knowledge to new situations. Most human beings will learn from past experiences, and most don’t. I’m one of those people that can analyze the problem I had before and learn from my mistakes. Know what I did wrong and accept it. For example, taking the English regents for me was hard. I always made the same mistake when it came to writing essays. My problem was I wasn’t writing and explaining myself correctly, which made me fail the exam. Once I knew what I was doing wrong I realized my problem and was familiar with it. I took it again remembered what I had to do and passed my Test with a great score. This habit is very common because everybody goes through past mistakes that they have done, some learn from them and others don’t know how to solve there problems or just give up.
